On September 4th, 2005. Sabrina Shoemaker turned the Children's Moments into a great mission project. 

A discussion with the children about the many people displaced and in need as a result of Hurricane Katrina motivated her and the children to visit a local store to purchase supplies for the victims.

As the group moved towards the rear of the church sanctuary many in the congregation passed money to the aisles to finance the trip as others joined the group to assist with transporting the children to the store.

The trip purchased $151.56 of supplies for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
